A Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was injured after being attacked by Bangladeshi nationals near the Indo-Bangladesh border in the Ambari Border Outpost (BOP) area under Gwalpokhar Police Station in Uttar Dinajpur district. The incident took place when a group of individuals attempted to enter Indian territory while cutting grass near the border.

Sources said that when a BSF personnel on duty tried to stop the intruders, they attacked him with a sharp weapon, causing injuries. In the ensuing action, BSF troops apprehended one Bangladeshi national while he was attempting to flee after the assault. The remaining individuals reportedly managed to escape across the border.
